WEB DEVELOPER Vancouver, BC

A developer for Agents of Change needs to be proficient with PHP and
MySQL, and well-experienced with developing custom themes and plugins
for Wordpress v2+. They must genuinely care about creating valid and
semantic XHTML and CSS markup that works across all different modern
browsers and platforms. They must also have a clear understanding of
progressive enhancement, which includes being comfortable with
(unobtrusive) JavaScript and Flash.

Skillset:

• Hands on production experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash
• Extensive knowledge of Wordpress' API (version 2+) with
• production experience creating custom themes and plugins
• Basic understanding of design principles
• Experience with image editing and tools such as Photoshop
• Strong attention to detail

AOC works largely as a virtual organization in testing new boundaries
for non-profit efficiency, so location is not critical. We have a hell
of a lot of fun doing it and are recognized for an entrepreneurial
take to solving social issues and engaging youth.

Min 1 yr commitment, variable with programs but approx 2-4 hours per week

This is a volunteer position for a rapidly growing non-profit movement
effecting real change globally and locally.
